I'm actually not complaining. The fact that it still feels like September at the end of June is wonderful; I've never been one to handle heat well. This summer has been perfect so far, though at the moment I have absolutely nothing to do. Ugh. All my friends actually have jobs, unlike me, so they're busy, and the uh . . . object of my entertainment is out of town til next Friday. I guess I'll use the lack of anything to do as an excuse to finally pump out some reference sheets.I need to find a slightly better coloring technique, also, since the one I used on my last piece of art made it extremely problematic to use light colors.

Anyone have suggestions for simple entertainment? I'd love to hear them.

I think I may have gotten my Paintshop functioning again, so hopefully I'll have =thunderfox5's art up soon. Summer vacation began for me today, anyway, so I'll have plenty of time to get it finished. Ugh, I'm a senior now. Guess I got one year left to grow up and finally decide what I want to do with my life (though according to the councilors, I should have figured that out while I was a sophomore).

The 6-disc CD player isn't working, oh joy. I don't know if it's jammed or what, but I'm going to be working on fixing it later after I finish cleaning the house for the end-of-the-year "party" I'm having (if you can really call it a party; I didn't invite that many people).

So this weekend has certainly been . . . entertaining. Thursday I helped my friend Megan move a tree that her parents cut down and chopped up into firewood, so I now have long bruises lining my forearm from my elbow to my wrist. It was worth it, though - her mother made me some of her amazing spaghetti and let me crash at their house. Friday I was exhausted for school, but it was a slack-off day anyway since no one was there (senior skip day). I totally wiped out playing basketball with my friends and rolled halfway across the gym floor before sliding to a stop on my back, so needless to say I now have a couple bruises and, euh, "wood burn" on my back. I went back over the Megan's house that night and put on some fake nails, which are extraordinarily difficult to type, write, draw, and play guitar with (but they look good so I'll deal).

Saturday was pretty mellow. Did a bunch of homework and tried to pass the time, then gave my room a makeover. Took off the top half of my bunk bed and put a futon in my room. Sunday I went to Paige's and burned my hand attempting to retrieve something that was dropped in the bonfire, and scraped my entire shin from wiping out in the gravel while trying to make the "impossible" garage shot playing basketball. It hurts like heck.

But I totally made the shot.

Today I dropped a large piece of wood on my foot. xD If anyone knows how to reconstruct humans, please let me know. I suspect by the end of the week I'll just be a box of random body parts.

So basically . . . now I've locked myself up in my room so I can't damage myself further for today. Now I'm waiting for my boyfriend to get home, he's been up north since Thursday and I was hoping to hang out with him if he got back early. Chances of that are starting to look slim, though. I'll probably try to coax my Paintshop program back into functionality so I can finish the like . . . six pieces of art I have sitting on my computer desk.

Oh yeah. My Paintshop crashed by the way. If anyone was wondering why I haven't been uploading art. -shot-

That's what the doctor called it. It's horrible. It's all over my face and lips - I just can't stop itching! It's not poison ivy, but I've contracted something similar to it, meaning I get to take oral steroid pills for the next week until the rash finally dries up and goes away. Exciting. I'm going to be out of school until Thursday, since I'm a bit embarrassed to go to school with a face looking like it just got shoved in a hornet's nest.

In other news:
Like the new CSS? It's based off a forum layout I made a little while back.

After taking some tips from a few artists far greater than myself, I have decided to give my [although small] gallery a bit of a face lift. I've been working on stylistic techniques and a few different mediums, and I'm hoping that'll help my art look better. After I finish my trade with =thunderfox5, I'm going to redo the items in my gallery to fit with my more . . . "updated" style. Since I've only really submitted one thing of importance, it shouldn't take too much time. I'm also going to be focusing more on photomanipulation, since it's something I've found a bit of interest in lately.

I've had an idea lately for a fantasy role play forum, but I'm doubtful as to whether anyone would actually join it. I'm debating whether I should actually spend time making it if the end result is just going to be me and ~Odynrr being the only two members on the forum, as usual.

Oh, and tonight is my French final. Already wrote the essay; now all I have left to do is read it out loud to the class (oh wondrous joy, I get to stand in front of people and stutter a foreign language whilst looking like I have herpes all over my face). I'm not worried about the test, I'm just not very fond of going out of the house in my . . . current state. At least this means I don't have French class anymore. That'll be a bit more free time added to my hectic schedule. :]
